Happy New Month! Let’s Take Care of Our Minds Too

hepsibah

Welcome to a new month!

As we step into July, I pray this month brings you peace, strength, fresh opportunities, and joy. No matter what last month looked like, this is another chance to begin again with hope.

As women and mothers, we often spend so much time taking care of everyone else that we forget to check on ourselves.

The children need us. The home needs us. Work needs us. Family needs us. Before we know it, we’ve gone days, weeks, or even months without asking ourselves one simple question:

“How am I really doing?”

The truth is, being strong doesn’t mean pretending everything is okay all the time.

Some days are overwhelming. Some days are lonely. Some days we feel exhausted, even after a full night’s sleep. That doesn’t make you a weak woman or a bad mother. It simply makes you human.

As we begin this new month, I want to encourage you to make your mental and emotional well-being a priority. Not because everything has to be perfect, but because you matter too.

The Bible reminds us in 3 John 1:2:

«”Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.”»

God cares about our whole well-being, including our minds and our hearts.

Here are a few simple things you can do this month:

  • Take a few quiet minutes each day to pray and reflect.
  • Rest when your body tells you it needs rest.
  • Talk to someone you trust if you’re feeling overwhelmed.
  • Don’t be afraid to say “no” when you need healthy boundaries.
  • Be kind to yourself. You’re doing better than you think.

One verse that always brings comfort is Matthew 11:28, where Jesus says:

«”Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”»

You don’t have to carry every burden alone.

Before you move on with your day, I’d like you to do one thing.

Pause for a moment and honestly answer this question:

“How am I really doing?”

If your heart feels heavy, don’t ignore it. Pray. Reach out to someone you trust. Take a break if you need one. Asking for help is not a sign of weakness. It’s a step toward healing.

As we journey through this month together, let’s remember that caring for ourselves is not taking anything away from our families. In many ways, it’s one of the greatest gifts we can give them.

Happy New Month once again.

May July be filled with God’s peace, renewed strength, good health, and beautiful moments for you and your family.

With love,
